Dr. Ron Zylstra
Dr. Zylstra received his B.S. in Veterinary Science from Michigan State University in 1988 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 1992. He grew up in Grandville, MI and graduated from Calvin Christian High School. During Veterinary school, he developed a passion for Cardiology and Ultrasonography, pursuing both areas of study after graduation through specialized continuing education classes. Dr. Zylstra has a love of learning and makes it his priority to stay up to date on current research, diagnostics, and treatments by attending annual continuing education conferences.
After graduation, Dr. Zylstra moved to Kalamazoo, MI. For 12 years, he practiced in a veterinary hospital that served the community with specialized care including emergency medicine, advanced surgeries, ultrasound referrals, and preventative care. While in Kalamazoo, Dr. Zylstra received ultrasound referrals from all over Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana and continues presently to serve the community by receiving referrals at his own veterinary clinic.
Kentwood Veterinary clinic is a BBB accredited business and Dr. Zylstra is a member of Michigan Retailers Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, and West Michigan Academy of Small Animal Practice.
